Cultivating Self-Love in Turbulent Times
A CREATIVITY WORKSHOP FOR WOMEN
Sunday, March 15, 2020
10:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Are you deeply responsive and tuned-in to others, but find it more difficult to treat yourself with compassion? Our current culture of “self-care” can put more pressure on women to “get it together”. Caring for ourselves though, can be incredibly difficult for a host of reasons – early adversity, the way we’ve been socialized, injustices, personal blockages.
Let’s dispense with the idea that you flawed to begin with and instead start with the theme of self-appreciation. In this small, dynamic workshop, you will have the chance to listen to yourself in new ways and make authentic discoveries through:
- Poetry
- Guided Visualization
- Song-listening
- Free-form writing
- Collage-making
Especially in this time of technological overload, it’s renewing to write, make things, make music, make art, reflect and go inside. Join us in a supportive, enjoyable, and get into alignment with self-love at the center.
Where: 1776 S. Jackson Street, #105, Denver, CO 80210
Cost: $45
Supplies, refreshments and beverages included.
Please bring a bag lunch with you.

Unlike self-care, self-love isn’t about taking care of business or dusting off those dumbbells (though a healthy body is also an expression of self-love). Rather self-love is accepting that healing is possible even in a society that fosters insecurity. Loving who you are means giving yourself permission to cherish your authenticity and forgiving the times you forgot your own power.
